Default V8 rear end in V6 car?

This guy wants to buy my rear end if it will fit in his V6 car. I don't know why it wouldn't bolt right in, but just need some reassurance from you guys.

It's a 95Z28 rear end going in a 95 V6 car. Also, does anyone know what gear ratio is in the V6 cars?

From what I have read back when my car was a v6, it shouldn't be a problem at all.

If his car is an a4 it probably has a 3.08 gear, not sure what the m5s had in them.

brakes are probably different, since most v6s had drum brakes in the rear. gearing might be different as well depending on the transmission of each car.

So gears, brakes and e-brake might be issues?

Couldn't he just use the disc brakes if he had drum brakes, just hook up the brake line?

He may have to recalibrate his ecm for the gears. I'll run his vin and see what gears he has. The rear I'm selling has 2.73, so there's probably a good chance that what he's got in his V6.

Not sure on the ebrake situation. Do the cables connect differently or something?
