Default Cooling Fan Question?

Does anyone know if both cooling fans should turn on at start engine for a '93 LT1? Or does the primary turn on first and then Secondary when engine hot?..

please help, thanx

The fans should not be on at startup (maybe you have a trouble code that is causing it?)

93s and early 94s have primary and secondary fans. The primary fan comes on first, then the secondary (if necessary).

Hey thanx for the heads up shbox! Hey was checking your website and seems u know a lot about these models. Question? My car won't go over 40mph, doesn't kick in third gear as I'm driving. Rpms go over 5k and it won't throw another gear. Its like its stuck on second. Do you know what might be causing this?

shbox:
I checked for trouble codes with a paperclip as you had recommended before. All I get is dtc 12. No other code. Could this be that ECM bad?

Limp mode is a condition in which the PCM loses just about ALL critical inputs from it's sensors and is VERY RARELY experienced. I doubt this is the case here.

True good point. I just sounded like it to me with the shifting issues he was saying.
