Default T Top questions

on these 93-97 fbody cars is it common or known for the t tops to get really stiff and hard to open? (best i can describe it) It isn't mine but was wondering if this can somehow be addressed with grease of some kind or what even would cause this? Everything from the handle opening to the latches going in and out just seem stiff or seized up?

Mine are "stiff." I'm sure you can dismantle them and grease them.

Mine where stiff as well. I just took the plastic cover and handle off and greased up the moving parts. They work perfect now.

I've never had that problem. My 85's glide open and closed with no issues

I would use white lithium grease. That is what you are supposed to use on non-engine related moving parts (i.e. door hinges, trunk/hood latches). Get the kind in a tub, not spray. I got the spray stuff from Advanced Auto and I just don't like it

Both my LT1 cars had stiff t tops but my ls1 was smooth. I'm going to grease mine soon and see what happens.

Default T -top

dont forget to spray some silicone grease on the rubber seals to keep them
soft so that the roof panels seat properly and seal wind and water out.
