Default which valve spring compressor for lt1?

what do you guys use? I read that its hard to get them in under the cowl. I really dont want to have to buy a $100 tool just to do this one job....

i got the one from the tool forum here , it's called 'tim's tool' search for it. was 40 shipped.

It let's you do one spring at a time and you can do it in the car. If I need to do this again, I think I would invest in the crane lt1 tool if I could find one so I can do two at the same time.

I know you said you didn't want to spend a lot of money, but the Crane tool is the ****. The Tim's tool works, but its a heck of a lot harder to set up and align than the Crane tool.

Don't cheap out, the rear springs will make you pull your hair out with a cheap generic tool.

Buy one of these and just cut it down and bend it to make it work.

any money i spend on stuff like this means less i have to put towards quality rockers and studs. so i dont mind a little hair pulling if it saves a few bucks.

anyone use one of those? what is it(part number) and where to get it? seems like theres ample room for most tools, but then again i've never actually got in there yet...
