Default Retainers and locks

Is there any advantage to using titanium valve locks and retainers instead if steel?

depends what you're trying to accomplish. You can go 7000 rpm with steel hardware, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper.

Is titanium stronger than the steel?

they have different properties, but yes it is stronger and lighter. You're not going to break a steel retainer/lock, the advantage here is mass savings and you might not need it depending on what you're trying to accomplish.

If you can swing the money it is never a bad idea to upgrade to lighter valvetrain components. It makes the springs job easier to control the valve.

Does it relieve stress on the springs because they are lighter
