Default great, #6 cylinder is dead

So when I went to put in my new spark plugs all of them looked old except one...it looked brand ****** new.
never really got on the car much but when I did after 3k RPM it makes some god awful noise which ill try to put a video up of it soon. Any ideas on what it can be? New opti, wires, and plugs. Hopefully its just my injectors but just seeing if it can be anything else. Also takes FOREVER to start up.

Do a compression check on #6. That will tell whats really going on if you in fact lost that cylinder.

not necessarily...........if he lost spark or fuel that wont show it........you can check the injector with a screwdriver against your ear to see if you can hear it actuating with the car running.....you should hear a fast "click click click click" etc......while its idling..........also pull the plug out and hold it against ground (head, bolt anyting thats ground) and have somebody crank the car you should see it sparking......

start there....the god aweful noise you are hearing is probably detonation........so stop making the noise.....thats the easiest way to break the motor if thats the case

I mis-read his symptoms. I though he meant at 3k rpm it made an awful noise (broke)....

Blown head gasket would be my guess.

New head gaskets. If it was a head gasket wouldn't it always be sluggish?
and I checked my spark, #6 has spark. So now im gonna check fuel, ugh process of elimination sucks. Espically in the cold

If that cylinder is not firing it will always feel sluggish. If that cylinder is indeed dead then once this problem is fixed it'll be a night and day difference.
A lot of things you need to check before thinking it's a head gasket, and even if you have coolant leaking into a cylinder won't necessarily kill ignition of the fuel mixture.

Did you check fuel? As stated, take a broom handle or screw driver and put it against the fuel injector to hear if it actuates when the engine is running.

You can presurize your coolant system with a pressure tester which can be rented at any Autozone. Pressurize to 18psi max. See if pressure bleeds off right away. If it does bleed off quickly you have a real problem (however you have said nothing about missing coolant so...) Keep plug out of #6. If system does not bleed off right away, keep pressurized for a half hour. Rotate crank by hand (5/8" socket on the crank bolt will do just fine) and see if coolant expels itself from the plug hole.

How long since you did the head gaskets? I don't think it's them as you'd have other issues also. What, if any, work did you have done on the heads?

No work done to the heads, just needed head gaskets.
and I haven't been missing any coolant at all. Never leaks anything actually. Lol only good thing about this car so far

I'm with everybody else here, the fuel injector. Have you tested the actual number six spark plug itself or just pulled the wire and found it sparked to ground? Long shot here but the spark plug itself may be bad internally and not firing.

Finally found my problem!!! It was fuel, took iff my intake and injectors, cleaned out the intake and took the injectors to midas to get cleaned up. They said they were definately clogged something fierce. So now to put it all back together, while the intake is off im gonna go ahead and delete the EGR and tune it out though. Should be done tomorrow thanks for all the help everyone, I really appreciate it
