Default Centerforce clutch or something else?

Not sure what clutch to buy. I grenaded my second Spec 3 in 7000 miles. I was thinking of getting the Centerforce Dual Friction, or the DFX...does anyone have any input on whether these are a good buy compared to the Spec pieces of ****?

No complaints with my ram powergrip HD. No chatter and I've been daily driving it the last 2-3 years.

This is my input on the centerforce dual friction clutch others may have had different results. I got about 8,000 miles out of the clutch the car has never seen the track and I'm only pushing 400hp on spray. For a clutch that claims to be able to handle alot of Hp i was very dissapointed with its life span. Personally if you can afford it buy a twin disk McLeod. This is what I did after my centerforce and I love it. I don't know if McLeod worked out a new company for their mastercylinder or if they started to make the mastercylinder themselves. If they haven't done either you could to the drill mod on your factory master or tick makes a very nice master for around 300. Bucks and Joey at tick is awesome to deal with hope this helps. Just my 2 cents

Thanks fellas, one of the things i do with my car a lot is go 35mph in 2nd gear (3500rpm), push the clutch in, rev it to 6000 and dump it so the car will go sideways. can the ram powergrip HD handle that on a daily basis would you think?

I second competition clutch for an affordable clutch. But highly recommend the McLeod Street twin if you can afford it.

Seems like these guys are getting alot of good rep on this site. haven't heard a complaint yet. I'll let you know how my CCI 2.5 turns out, but just google LS1TECH Competition clutch and you'll find some good reviews.

I've currently got a dfx in my formula and it's held 6k launches on spray without any issues. the biggest downfall is chatter but you'll get that with any puck sytle clutch.

That will shorten the life of any clutch but with how it grabs I don't see it having any problems doing that.
