Default LTCC who has it?

Just wondering who is running the LTCC set up and how they like it? I know it is not as popular as the efi 24x system, but it would have to be a good improvement over the stock ignition although it uses the opti sensor.

i can't complain about it at all. nice piece, great features, i have not had 1 issue with it at all. if you search on here someone posted the instructions in a pdf file format. that will allow you to see all the functions and how simple the install is.

That is another reason I am thinking about the ltcc the installation is much more simple than the 24x system; for the 24x system I would have to drop the oil pan to get the timing cover off and sealed up correctly, then swap out the harness and pcm.

I just ordered my LTCC setup; now I just need to get my hands on 8 ls2 coils and harness. What plug wires are you running? Will taylor ThunderVolt 50 Spark Plug Wires work?

They are 40 OHMS per foot resistance, is that too low? I am going to go with the ls2 coils and harness.

i would say that is to low. since that is the same as the msd super conductor wires that they advise you to stay away from. here is what they recommend

NOTE: Low resistance plug wires, such as the MSD Superconductor, as well as similar products by other manufacturers, have been known to cause problems on LTCC equipped vehicles. It is recommended you not use these wires, or wires like them.
Taylor and Magnacor are very good products that do work with the LTCC.

Is it just me or is the LTCC system beyond retarded. Whats the point of NOT getting rid of the opti?

Every single time I have had an opti issue, the optical sensor has FAILED.

ill list why i bought it , how about that lol. its the best they had when i was looking. it offers a soft or hard limiter, it can energize or de-energize a circuit and a built in retard for nitrous use. it takes all of the spark out of the cap. which helps because the gases from the arching is now removed and you don't need to have the opti vent lines hooked up anymore. which should protect the optical sensor better. you don't have to mess with the routing of plug wires anymore. you can seal the **** out of the opti and cut the rotor out. i used a flat washer with loc-tite and lock washers on the screws. so the issue of a rotor shattering is gone and any issues of it rubbing on the cap or base and making plastic chips to mess with the optical sensor. it also takes care of needing a ignition control module. the ltcc also helps by letting you know if its not getting the correct hi-res pulses between lo-res and during high lo-res or low lo-res pulses. so for only 400.00 bucks , it doesn't sound bad at all. i also have a extra optical sensor set aside if i need it.
