Default another lt1 back to life!

Well my lt1 fired up today. It gave me quite a scare at first. Got my fluids in and ready to fire it up and i got in it turned the key and didnt hear a goddamn thing but the radio and some relays click lol. went to crank it, nothing. I inspected some wireing to the starter and battery and everything looked normal. stood there and said wtf a few times then looked at fuses. Ign fuse some how wiggled itself out enough. I pushed it in turned the key and heard the fuel pump and it cranked and i said wow. Primed it a few times then went to start and she fired up like she was never dead . This is my first cam swap and first extensive internal engine work.

One problem is my oil pressure gauge, at first i thought it wasnt working, then i noticed it was pegged out. I started it about 3 times now for a total of like 20 seconds. I do notice that the gauge is atleast moving, it goes from pegged out, to even more pegged out. My biggest fear after reading all these oil pressure threads is the oil pump driive on the camshaft. I havent let it run long enough to get out and check for oil comming out of the rockers.

Any ideas? If you bump the oil pressure sensor with the intake manifold could it cause this?

its most likely the sensor itself if its pegging out. throw a new sensor in and you should be good to go.

figured out the issue, i unplugged it at one point and just plain forgot to plug it back in.

got the y pipe on her and buttoned a few things up.

226/232 .606/.603 108lsa.....HIGHLY reccomended lol

ill get a vid of her soon, i think some valves need some help, hearing some noises i dont think i should be from under the valve cover.

its a 4-5 year old grind from BRE and LE, i ran it because it was different and it had the numbers that i was looking for. I got it off of a member on this site, i forget who exactly, it was in 1 LT1 befor mine for a very very limited time as they valve springs they were using kept breaking, i wanna say under 1500miles. i emailed LE about it and he verified it was the correct camshaft. He also told me it will have power like a cc306, but all at lower rpms. So then i had to have it lol.

I also went with pcmforless for the tune and i gotta say WOW, car idles perfectly, revs perfectly, throttle is VERY snappy. Keith and Bryan did an outstanding job for a mail order tune, i was honestly expecting atleast some issues but everything is good!

Thanks. Yea my only concearn right now is the noise im hearing from under the valve covers. i dont know if i should mess with the rockers/valves or let it go and see if it quits. It seems to run and rev decent so youd think they were adjusted ok. If they werent wouldnt it have issues?

this isnt a NEW cam, but do i need to hold it at 2000rpm for awhile??

the vid i took is bad, my camera cant handle the noise from it, i think its also idleing at like 1000rpm, was told it would drop to 850/800 in drive tho so it probably sounds a bit meaner.

but here you go for now...

can anyone tell me how loud valvetrain should be?

My cam is agressive and .606/.603 lift so maybe this is some of the noise im hearing?
Im running patriot 8401-bsbc installed to 1.750. Comp cams ultra pro mag 1.6 rocker arms, trick flow pushrods, ls7 lifters.

The weird part is that the car is running great, driving great, so far revving great. Im just hearing alot of chatter from under the valve covers. When should i start to worry? I wouldnt say i quite hear a knocking sound, but the noise is noticeable.
