Unhappy Exhaust is too loud inside the car after H/C/383

My TD car was quiet at low rpm and idle and screamed under WOT, but now it's loud at any speed. It's a baby blower cam too.

It doesn't have any leaks now. The exhaust isn't even dumped - it exits out the back. But holy crap is it loud now inside. I have to blast the stereo just to drown it out. There is also a lot of suspension/road noise and a few squeaks and rattles (I did shocks and lowering springs all the way around and a brand new rear suspension and also poly motor/trans mounts).

What is some good sound deadening stuff to use? I'm going to do all new carpet while I'm at it I guess...

Poly Bushings are going to squeek a lot unless they're greased really good. I think that's also the source of your extra road noise, and maybe even some engine noise.

eBay Fatmat, it's a Dynamat knock off, but it works well.

I think you will need to quiet the exhaust down some; I have the same problem, my car sounded nice before all of my engine mods. I am looking for some type of resinator that could be put in the exhaust pipe and will not take too much effort to do.

Dynamat? Its a sound deadning (sp?) material. I think Best Buy sells it for car stereo systems. (help keep the music in the car)

Why 9.3:1 are you going to run a turbo or supercharger?

If its too loud, you're too old. On a serious note...some cats and/or muffler change would help. Personally,I would not add any of the dynamat.
