Default 95 z-28 with a 96 vette motor wiring compatability

i have noticed afew things after being all over the engine compartment. im missing the pug for the crank sensor thats on the timing cover and is that somting to be worried about beacuse the car runs and drives but it being a 1996 vette motor i would rather have a 96 pcm with the 96-97 painless wiring kit so i can use jets computer programer, or is there any difference between the PCM's 1995 to 1996?

any thoughts on this problem?

thanks

bryce

Much cheaper to stay with OBD-I for programming. 96+ is OBD-II. PCM is not the same. A "'vette motor" is pretty much the same as the f-body one. Use a rubber expanding plug to plug off the CPS or find a junkyard sensor to stick in the hole.

95 is a bastard year, OBD-II plug, OBD-I PCM.

Any exhaust leak is going to disrupt the balance for a/f readings. It needs to be sealed up. Exhaust leaks can make popping noises, especially on deceleration.

The tube on the elbow is a silencer. If there is a hole in it, you are pulling unfiltered and unmetered air into the engine. Not really what you want.

Yes i have that problem with the headers I have and I hear a loud vaccum noise when I start it then after a minute it goes away and I pinned it down for the noise to the elbo or throttle body which is more likey I think it's the elbo? What do u think?
