HP and 1/4 predictions
I got a hold of Lloyd Elliot and my heads and cam should be here in a week or so and the short block should be done soon.. I'm getting super antsy and was just wondering what everyone thinks the HP/TQ and 1/4 times should be. I'm hoping for ~400rwhp and have no idea about the 1/4 times. tried searching for people with similar setups but couldn't really find anything.
set up
Short block: 355, probe pistons +4.00cc flat tops, polished stock crank, shot peened stock rods.
Heads: LE heads with 2.00/1.56 valves
Cam: 227/230 .573/.568 w/ ultra pro mags SA 1.6 rockers
Exhaust: mid lengths, no cat, cut out
PCM: tuned by Madz28
Clutch: CC stage 2
Fuel: 30# SVO injectors, Walbro 255
suspension: SFC, LCA, LCA brackets, 315 tires, BMR springs, bilstein shocks
I want to say mid 12's in the 1/4 around 109?? I have no idea.. I just want to drive the damn car again. You guys think 400rwhp is doable?

I would shoot for a 12.0 in your shoes. Anything better is great, anything slower and its probably going to be a traction issue. Car deffinetly should have 11's in it. Horespower, who cares, it doesnt meant crap when it turns into smoke off the line.

You say 315 tires, if those aren't dr's don't expect much traction at the track. With street tires I run mid-high 12's, with dr's low 12's. Launching an m6 is much trickier than an A4, way tougher with street tires.

I read this post twice and didn't see you mention, A4 or M6? That will make a big difference in expected 1/4 mph and et estimates. Also you say 315 tires, if those aren't dr's don't expect much traction at the track. With street tires I run mid-high 12's, with dr's low 12's.
I also have a question about timing sets, will a stock replacement cloyes timing set be fine for my set up? I DD this thing, racing is usually stop light action and I might hit the track 8 times a year.. maybe.

I missed the clutch description. Many people stick with a stock type timing set, you don't hear of many failures. I went with a cloyes double roller because it was a lot cheaper and much stronger, and I just run a small cam. It did require switching to an EWP and losing the CPS. If you are looking to add an EWP it's an easy change.
