Default 94 lt1 problems

Hi all im new to the site diggin it. Im having issues with my lt1 just bought the car couple weeks ago previous owner said all it needed was plugs and wires. The oil pressure stayed low constant at 12 psi idle and driving and car was missfiring. Drove the car 40 mi back to my house and as soon as i turned my corner all the antifreeze blew out the tail pipe. Im hoping its just a head gasket but its pretty chtty for someone to do that. The other problem im having is the oil pressure how it stayed constant 12psi and the valves were chattery back home. I hooked up a manual psi gauge right above the oil filter and im reading 50psi at cold idle but the gauge in the car still reads low. Would i be getting the same oil pressure reading if i hooked the tube to the top of the motor with this manual gauge?

these pics were taken at same time

heres a lil pic of car

It's more than likely the oil pressure sensor is faulty. On the second gauge does the pressure increase with the rpms?

Does your engine overheat? Welcome to the forums btw and you have a good looking car.

No car didnt overheat stayed right above 160 degrees the way back home. The oil pressure shoots up to 70 when i rev im running 10w-40 oil. I was wondering.. I have the manual oil pressure gauge mounted to where the plug goes right above the oil filter.. Will i be getting same oil pressure reading if i plug the manual gauge where the sending unit goes behind the intake??

Thanks, Dustin

If you didn't notice coolant mixing with the oil or smelled coolant coming from the exhaust don't worry about a blown head gasket. You can hook up that gauge back there just to be a 100% sure on pressure but my guess is the manual gauge will show a higher pressure confirming the bad sensor or possibly a faulty gauge

Since you have to remove the sensor to hook up the gauge you might as well replace it.

Well i took off the heads and both gaskets are blown in the same spot. Oil sender was cracked thats why im getting a bad reading. Having the heads checked at the machine shop if all good im just having them milled. Got new proform pushrods, and rocker rollers, felpro head gasket set, sealed power lifters in the mail all together in parts cost 700$ and another ?$ to have the heads milled.
