5500 rpm miss ok i have a 1997 z28 6m stock car with cai new plugs new wires and coil. car runs really well till 5500 rpm and then falls on its face it feels like it has no gas. i checked fuel pressure it has at 40psi at idle. it seems to be only when i have a little less then half a tank or less of gas. it dosnt happen all the time.

did it two days ago no effect what im thinking now is that im letting the car get to low on gas and im sucking air instead of gas full tank car pulls really well so when i get low again im going to hook the fuel gauge up and see if it drops off

If you are truly letting it get that low your pump is going to die soon. The pump should always be immersed in fuel in the bucket and if you're sucking air then the pump has no fuel surrounding it and it will over heat quickly. Have you checked your pressure at wot?
