Which timing set for 355 H/C
As the title says I am looking for a reliable timing set for a 1995 355 H/C application, retaining the stock water pump.. I was originally looking at the Extreme duty set... but after reading this http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/arch.../t-278981.html I am trying to look at other options.. Would running a regular stock replacement set equal catastrophic failure? I would shoot myself if my engine got F'd up because of a timing set failure.. What timing sets do you guys with ~400rwhp and stock WP use?

The more reading I do, the more I am leaning towards a stock replacement.. This is a DD more than a race car. How many guys out there are using the stock replacement set on H/C set ups?

Either. I prefer the Cloyes stuff tho for a higher hp build. The billet sprockets are a little more robust, although you don't hear of too many sprocket issues with the GM stuff... lol
The GM parts worked great in my baby cam build. In fact that engine is still going strong.

For a dd setup I would just stick with a stock style chain and keep the stock wp. I went with the cloyes double roller years ago because I wanted an ewp anyway and it's not a dd. It a very nice, strong timing set and was under $100.
