a/c compressor clutch is shot... options?

a/c compressor clutch is shot... options? My a/c quit working the other day and the i hooked my ohm meter up to the a/c clutch and it gave a value of 2.9K ohms 
. Can i just replace the clutch assembly or do i have to buy a new compressor?
