Issues with my 94 z28 This has become a real PITA. I got tired of searching for the problem on my car because it was my DD, so I took it to a mechanic.
Ended up being an oxidized fuel injector, and broke PCM.
Fixed all that. NOW, it won't shift out of 2nd gear. It'll run through 1st fine, but when it hits 2nd gear the car won't budge unless i rev it to 2500+.
I read that the VSS will make it consume more gas and not shift. (my problem) So i took a look at that.
The VSS was COVERED in grime and when I pulled the connector it leaked out some liquid. So I cleaned it really good with some electrical cleaner.
With no luck, I eased back into the driveway.
My question is: Should I replace the VSS or what? Help me troubleshoot some other issues?
Car is good on tranny fluid.
