Default Oil cooler Delete How to plug water pump.

I deleted my oil cooler and plugged the oil cooler coolant hose with a bolt. But the other day the 90 degree fitting fell out of my water pump causing me to loose all my coolant.
The fittings are just pressed in and now its a pretty loose press fit.
What are you guys using to plugs those two holes.

I had them welded shut.

Either that, or you could pick up and install the oil cooler bypass hose (p/n 10197675) from those cars who were not originally equipped with an oil cooler.

Remove the pipe and tap the hole for a pipe plug.

Mine was deleted for the Kooks, used the two GM bolts with out the hat, GM discontinued the bypass hose, but Gates makes it. Works fine.

I can't use the bypass hose
My problem is the fitting falls out of the water pump
I've had my opti off so many times
Every time I take the opti off I need to turn to fitting to access the blower mount bolts
