Question Mystery ported LT1 heads on ebay...

So now I have my 383 shortblock, the only thing I need now is ported heads (been planning on getting the 200cc Ai package)...I found these on fleabay for MUCH cheaper than the $1300 Ai quoted me:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-97...Q5fAccessories

They seem very similar to the 190cc Ai heads....I know there aren't many CNC LT1 head porters out there (lingenfelter and Ai?)...but the seller does not know. Also they flow 280 CFM which is right about where the Ai 190cc heads flow. Does anybody recognize these heads? Like 99% of LT1 owners I'm a cheap-*** LOL...if I can get similar performance (420ish WHP) with these while saving a grand or so why the hell not? Discuss.

Up to you to put your nuts on the crap table. You may strike it rich or fail miserably. It's your money. Odds are there's a reason why they are cheap.

I would think that the seller would attempt to maximize his revenue by advertising WHO ported them. Since he doesn't, I'd immediately be suspicious. Without a flowsheet/stats they are a gamble.

Lets clarify, 99% of LT1 owners are NOT cheapasses... Only the cheapasses that never spent any real money on thier car are cheapasses...

Sorry, there are three things, fast-reliable-cheap, but you can only pick two... You already choose cheap, so whatever other choice is up to you...

Honestly, there are a ton of cheap idiots that build cars based on everyone else hard work... Fact is, put the minimum in and you get the minimum out... Works that way with everything in life...

That's OK, once you build the car and it underperforms you can just sell it for a loss and buy the Mustang you are destined to have...

Never said I was buying these heads...just getting some feedback from those with experience with buying used/vs new parts. Cheapass is a relative term, I've dumped more than 8K in my car that I'll never see back. I've owned this car for 14 years now and it's gone through a COMPLETE restoration...I'm not some newb high school kid slapping **** together. That being said, It does seem suspicious they aren't advertising the porter since that would be a major selling point....I'll keep my eyes peeled for the REAL DEAL Ai 200cc heads...if anybody knows somebody selling a pair let me know. Otherwise, I'll just have to wait 1-2 months for Ai to do their thing to my heads Oh, and I'd ride a ******* moped before I bought a mustang ...don't be

Also after a good look at the pictures .. Strange It seems as though there are some valves hanging open and they don't bother showing closeups of the ports or bOwls?

but i agree that it's sketchy they dont show any pics directly of the intake ports and only one crappy shot of the exhaust ports

Doubtful. Grob clearly needs phonics. The other two are bitter old men that probably are going blind with bitter hatred... And old age.

you have a couple days left, as long as the price doesn't sky-rocket, e-mail him and ask for better pictures. i'm sure cnc puts some kind of stamp on the head showing it's their work, ask for a picture of that as well.

LOL....I saw somebodies been bidding on them since I put up the post. Seller should give me cut for giving him free advertising Who knows, you might blow the doors off some LE or Ai headed car with them. The rockers themselves are probably worth at least $150-200. Don't let the crotchety old ******* on here give you **** about them

I've seen these exact heads on Ebay three times in the past two weeks. The first time was a buy-it-now for $275, I saw them listed again a few days later, and noticed them again today. Somethings not right.
