Default inital tune for new engine

kind of new to EFI and would like to know how to go about tuning for a freshly rebuilt 355 with higher compression bigger injectors the works. Can i install the engine and drive it to a shop for a dyno tune or do i need a "base tune" to start the motor and drive it? not sure how to go about it as i said kind of a newbe to computer controled engines any help is apperciated. If i need a base tune do i need any equipment or do i just send the computer to someone with the specs?

Yes you should have a base tune. The car will not want idle, and will run very rich. At the very least the injector constant needs to be changed and the idle speed raised up.

you can start the motor on the stock tune but use the stock injectors, but it prob going to run like a$$. A base tune is good and would be a nice starting point for your tuner. Im using PCMforless for my base tune driving it to breakin the new motor then going to get it dyno tuned.

yep if you fire it do it on the stock injectors, if not there will be a ton of extra fuel and most likely wash the cylinders out.
