Default SLP Loudmouth for LT1s.

I've decided I want to get the SLP Loudmouth for my 1996 M6 Trans Am. I seen on SLPs website I need an additional installation kit part #30044 or# 30045. I can't find either on their website. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this, or where I could get it at?

I think its the intermidiate pipe that goes from the y pipe to the cat back. But if you have long tubes I dont think you will need it. If they dont sell it anymore I guess you might just have to have one fabbed up.

Since your car is a '96, you don't need an install kit. The "kit" they sell for the 96/97 cars is just a way for SLP to make a few extra bucks off ya. Loudmouth will bolt up to a factory 96/97 y-pipe without any "kit" or modification.

In case your car is 93-95, then you'll need it. Don't know much about the factory 93-95 exhaust, but I do know the install kit is necessary for them.

It's going to be super loud and raspy but if you're dead set then cool. I've got the tsp rumbler and it sounded great on a stock car. It has a great tone, and doesn't drone.

That's what I'm going for. I like the ones with a nice tone, don't get me wrong, but I'm shooting for a straight nasty, loud sound with mine.

A straight nasty loud sound is what you'll get with that cat-back, I loved my LM2 before I put headers my car.

After the headers you might change your mind lol. The WOT scream sounds freakin mint with long tubes and a loudmouth, but for normal driving its a little louder than what I was looking for, and there's some drone.

I have the LM1 catback on my car. Even with the stock Y and manifolds it is very loud. I love the sound but it does drone a little during normal driving, no big deal though. I can only imagine it with headers and a o/r Y.

Think dump truck. The LM is the most regretted cat back purchase I have ever seen threads about. Most can't take it after a while and ask how to tone it down. The sound is very unrefined and loud.

Agreed. I did the loudmouth twice....Never again. Look into Borla w/ an electric cutout. Loudmouth loud when you want it, or real quite when you want to hold a conversation.

I was dead set on LoudMouth for my car.

Put headers on it and knew instantly that LM wasnt an option anymore.

I now have headers, no cats, and Hooker...***** mint.

When I bought the 95z I had it came with the loudmouth and it sounded like t total ****. It was awful... Even with the stock manifolds it was unbearable and annoying. I wouldn't do it personally.
