Canton and Moroso both make aftermarket pans that have a windage tray in them. I am using a Canton pan.

Is it just important it have a windage tray or would you actually like it to function? Seems like a dumb question but I know one popular brand pan with windage tray exhibits all kinds of oil control issues and has already been recommended.

I am running the moroso pan. I believe it is a 5.5qt street strip pan. Fit awesome and I have no leaks. Weird enough I am using a canton pan gasket though hahaha

I'm using this Moroso pan with their pickup and pump and I had fitment issues with the pan. I'm not impressed.

1. Had to take a dremel to the inside to get the pan over the pump cause it got hung up on right angle tap area that they welded on to tap the pickup into the pump

2. A few holes didn't line up and was lucky to get a few bolts in

3. The dipstick area of the pan was bent and had to hammer it flat.

Using the GM gasket. Praying nothing leaks. I almost want to put RTV around the whole damn thing to make sure that it doesn't!

Thats weird man, I must have got a pan from a good batch because that is the same exact one I have and had no issues with it. I used one of morosos bolt on pick ups and a melling pump.

If you decide on the Canton make doubly sure it is the 242t pan. Reason being is there have been those who've ordered an 87-up pan and end up having to pound a divot in the pan to clear the k-member and (I think) the steering linkage.

You running a hv pump? If so there was a piece of paper in the box that states it has to be modified to fit.

No. Standard pump. It was the pickup that gave me a hard time getting the pan on and off.
