Default Factory tach

Didn't know where to puit this question and I know use the search....... But how off is everybodies factory tach? I think Im in the 300ish rpm zone

the dyno says mine was bout 200 off

Mine is about 300 but can be more at higher RPMs

Thanks guys I guess im around in the average range. Was driving yesterday and my tach was around 3000ish rpms and speedo around 72ish. W/ 4.10 and 3000rpms I should be at 80mph. So if I was going 72ish and showing 3000 Im off by 300. At 72mph I should be only turning 2700rpms

Mine has always seemed pretty accurate, too. Not everyone has the same experience, though.

Mine's at the ever-so-popular 200rpm short. A small, unobtrusive shift light was the answer to that little dilemma.

when mine was still operational it read about 400 to high....at 6600 it would say i was at all of 7000........it used to just sit on the needle all the way up haha

Mine seem almost dead on. I have the dig6 with rev limiter set at 7k and when the needle hits 7k bam the limiter goes off.

Harlan shift light in the driver side A piller vent hole, perfect spot for it. When running up to redline I never look at the tack, you know exactly when to shift when that light comes on. My tach is at 2000rpm in 6th at 70mph with 4:10's fwiw.
