LT1 wont idle and runs like crap Hey guys, i just built a 350 lt1 cc306 motor, 1.6 crane golds, full ported heads, 30lb injectors, 58mm tb, longtubes, no emissions, going to have 4:10 gears, 3600 stall, and tranny things if i can ever get it running alright. I bought all of the equipment fron tunercat in order to tune the car. more than i bargained for. So, i called pcmforless. he sent me a tune and i flashed the pcm again, and it still runs like ****. WAY WAY rich everywhere. i changed the map sensor, i changed the maf. it had stock injectors and there was no difference with the tune and 30lb injectors, yes i know how to adjust valves and no my opti isn't bad. what the hell is going on?, OH! and it almost tries to idle a bit hearder when i have the maf UNPLUGGED!!?...any help is greatly appreciated.

i kept it running with the maf unplugged so it coded that, but with it plugged in it will burn the eyes outta yah and it eventually wreck my motor with how much fuel its dumping in, but yes after about 5 second of fighting with it when it quits the fans are running.

After you flashed the tune tO the comp did it changed how it ran at all? If not id say you were unsuccessful at flashing the tune. You need to data log it and send the data log back.

Tune?? Maybe that's what's up, because it doesn't seem to make a difference with anything I do to it...while it is "uploading" my fans kick on for a sec at the start and the whole time the evap solenoid clicks, no idea , what's the proper way of doing it, maybe you have something here...

my car ran this way when I did my rebuild...I have pcmforless tune, too. turns out I was just a little of on the valves. double check those...I thought I triple checked when I built the motor. turns out I was still off.

yeah if the optisparks go bad in the 93 and 94 models it doesnt set off a code. you have to disconnect the battery and it will reset it and run fine. but idk what year yours is,,,, happened to me and i spend $500 on opti, wires, plugs. i was pissed

Got it running guys!! Plugs were the culprit...NGK TR55GP... Put the ac's in it and away she went. But it loads up at idle, idle is still touchy, but pulls like a pornstar off idle up to 7000
