Default Is it worth putting a cam in?

My 94 z28 just hit 93000 miles and I wanted to know if this is too many miles to put a cam in or should I rebuild the motor? The motor still runs strong and I would be looking into putting in a mild cam in it.

Yes...you're just getting it broken in for a LT1 if it's been maintained.

Just upgrade the springs and get roller rockers too.

Did my H/C/I at 160000 miles. Cylinders looked good, bearings looked much better than you'd expect for the mileage (Not quite like new, but I mean come on...lol), and oil pressure was still way above GMs "safe minimum". If you're still making plenty of power and there isn't anything jumping out at you saying there's an issue, you'll be totally fine with a cam swap.

You should be fine. Bearing failures after part of the engine has been opened up usually points to a sloppy/dirty/hurried (I'm sure many innuendos can be made from this) install.

I would say if you pull the valve covers and intake and there is no sluge.... Cam it. If there is sluge don't.
