I have a 1996 Trans Am M6 I'm looking to put the Loudmouth on, and I was told it should bolt right up without that kit SLP sells for the LT1s. Is this true?

I've also read on multiple sites it's not needed for 96-97 cars. They dont even make that part anymore but I think sites like ws6store still sell it. I wouldn't buy it. What's the worse that can happen you're without a cat back for a few days ?

96-97 shouldn't be an issue, I had that cat back on my 93 years ago, sounded great with the stock cat in place, was really light also.

Seriously, you don't need the kit for a '96 car. Don't waste your money.
