Default ls1 knock sensor on LT?

any one ever heard of re threading the block to accecpt an ls knock sensor?
I had the lt4 knock sensor module, but im going to solid suspension and i want to do an ls knock sensor, im now running on the 24X conversion so the pcm isnt the issue its the threads in the block

Seems like it should work. If you don't mind my asking, why go through all the trouble? If the LT4 module is doing its job then why do all the work. Of course, I'm no expert.

the lt4 module accounts for the sound of the roller rockers in the lt4 engine. you could say it's a less sensitive to what the knock sensor registers, but you still need the knock sensor listening.

OP - check the resistance as well and look at them side by side to check the threads.

What the hell? All you need is an OBD-II knock sensor..

...and furthermore if you are truly running a 24X conversion you DO NOT HAVE an LT4 knock module...

Yep there is no lt4 km that you could use with the 24x; the lt4 km is inside the lt1 pcm that is not used in the 24x system. I am having a problem with my car now I keep throwing a code for the knock sensor in the blcom; I guess I did not wire it up to my lsx pcm, because I am not getting any v to the wire going to the knock sensor. There is no need to run a ls knock sensor; the single lt knock sensor will work fine.

well im going to solid motor mounts and your right i do not have the lt4 km its gone with the PCM my bad. anyways while I have the K-member out I want to ditch the overly sensitive LT-1 knock sensor. and go to LS knock sensor to prevent false knock, the threads are different but thats nothing a srill and bottoming tap cant overcome. I was just curious if im the only one to try this.

If you're running a 24x LS conversion, a 96-97 LT1 knock sensor is needed as suggested by EFI connection. What year is your car?

How about this...i can't use the LT4 knock module in my 93 and the diode mod has not worked for me, would the LS knock module do anything positive in my case?? I am getting false knock between 4-5 k every run, so i had it tuned out.

I have been dealing with I thought was false knock for a few years. It turned out to be real knock. My wideband was showing 14:1 afr in 1st and 2nd gear. A new fuel filter and a Racetronix hotwire kit solved that problem. No timing retard what so ever anymore. Check your fuel system...
