Default 24x Re-Pin - 94 or 97 Harness

Im going to be doing the 24x re-pin on my car i was just wondering since im not up to par with the schematics from all different year cars can i use a 97 harness with the cps and repin it and be work in my 94? Or am i better off to stay with my 94 harness and just re-pin it. Thought it might be alot easier if i had the 97 harness to safe some work just didnt know if it not work together with my 94 car.

Thanks!

It's definitely the easiest to start with the 96-97 harness. It will work without an issue (assuming you have it pinned correctly) in your 94.

i'm using a 96 harness in the 94 car for my 24x setup. i only had to move one pink wire in the c2xx connectors to make it work. c100 is the only one you have, no c105, but after you strip everything out, the c100 power is plenty.

Sorry to hijack but how different are the 94 and 96 harnesses? I know the 94's are OBD-I and the 96'S are OBD-II but how much easier would it be for the 24x swap? I only ask because i will most likely be doing this in the spring.

it really doesn't matter in my mind. If you get the DIY kit from efi connection, you tell him what year your harness is and you'll get the connectors for the crank sensor if it's not a 96 or 97 harness. Plus as part of the 24x kit, it comes with a ls1 based crank sensor anyway it's not like you can reuse the lt1 crank sensor.

I only had to move one wire from my c2xx connectors to a different c2xx connector, but that was it.

Thanks for the clarification. I wasnt sure if i would of needed to run a different harness all together or not.

Either harness is ok to use and there is some splicing to do regardless of the diff year. Just wasnt sure if it was something to make my live easier using the 96-97 harness or not. Thanks for again for the clarification on that as it just saved me from thinking about buying a new harness to try and make it easier since wiring is not my strong part.
