any thoughts on maybe putting a penny in the hole and putting rtv around the edges and then putting on the piece that holds the egr pipe on there?(no pipe of course)

i took the pipe and the fitting off, and with the small plate that has a hole in it, trimmed a piece of tin to same size, RTV'd and re installed... been fine ever since.

Instead of using rtv try and use some jb weld. Or exhaust paste. They will hold up to the heat as rtv will not. Or go to your local exhaust shop and have them fill the void. Gl

seriously go under your couch and grab all the change and buy these, I'm sure you can come up with this small amount. Your talking about doing a half *** job, to only save $15. If it was a couple hundred it would be differnet.
