Question Ok guys, stock LT1 options

My brother has a '94 Z28, we want a little more power from it, so I don't like stock engines, i usually go all out, but what would you guys do with it? Cam? headers? heads? what? no HP goal in mind, just want it to lope a little and sound good and run good.

whatcha got?

IMO Lt headers is a must. Also you dont notice much from it but a cold air intake and a catback exhaust should sound pretty good then I dont have a cam but I do want one they sound great.

Intake, exhaust, LT headers, cam, heads, and tune in that order.

Since you're going LSx why not sell him the LT1 you had in your Nova, it's already built isn't it?

x2. If your goal is "lope", this is the most foolproof way to get it.

Hell, if lope is it, just lower your idle RPM.

Depends on what your goals are. Do you have an ET or power goal?

well, my brother will turn 16 this year, and doesnt need a heavily cammed ported head, single planed 383 stroker that turns 7500rpm lol, this is his first car, and i sold my LT1 to fund my LSx turbo project.

yea its already lowered, and the car doesnt like it, it tries to cut off at stoplights..so we had to put it back up a little.

well, ive never really had anything stock, never had a true daily driver, usually i just plan a build with alot of go-fast in mind, so doing something suddle and calm kinda puzzles me lol like to me, a small cam is the 292xfi so yes i am really asking this.

I've had a hotcam and unless it is idled really low it doesn't lope that hard. Sounded more like a miss lol. I'd look into the cc503 or maybe a cam from AI.

You don't need a lope to run good.

I know this, but when i was 16 it was awesome having a cammed car in high school, wether it ran good or not, it made me feel good about my pile of bolts, and i know it will make my brother feel good that his car sounds great and drives great. just my opinion though, plus its my brothers money, im just trying to help him spend it wisely, not do like me and do **** backwards sometimes.

I ran the cc503 and that barely lopes. As soon as you think you have a good cam, once you drive it a little bit you just want to go bigger/faster
