Default TA is for sale.

And this time I'm selling.

Time for a change. I'm done with F-bodies for a while. I don't even get joy out of driving my car anymore. It's mostly due to the poor craftsmanship of the car.

For now I'm selling it and my truck. I'm thinking about a fat cavalier with a 6 speed very seriously. Dunno. Depends on how selling my house goes.

Kinda sad cause I just did suspension and bought Drs over the summer, but I don't really care to head to the track. I was wanting bottom 12s, but the car is dying to me. I thought I'd keep this one forever too.

GTO?

Hopefully you end up where you want to be, all i can say is get a 6.0 or dont get one.

Ive been thinking about selling mine too. But i want a ls1 car, with a magnaflow catback, a ss3600 stall, and a procharger...call it done and drive the bitch.

If this car sells, I probably will never own a 4th gen ever again. I'm a 3rd gen guy.

If I slipped back into the f-body scene it would be a 91/92 formula or a 68.

This comment is EXACTLY why I want an 04. I'm serious. I prefer the underdog.

And you're talking about poor craftsmanship?

The GTO is a garbage barge. You'll be pissed once you start modding it to only find you are no faster than a bolt on LSx f-body.

Third Gens feel better than 4th gens.

I am not interested in drag racing anymore. Too much top gear I suppose.

i hear a lot of complaining from GTO guys down here that you can't squeeze a wider tire than a 245 back there. whether it is true or not i dont know but just figured you might want to look into that just in case.

On the stock rim. I just googled it and saw multiple responses about 275s and 285s people had on their car.

I have to side with Richard Simmons on this one.

I had 2 3rd gens for about 3 years a piece. Total shitheaps in comparison to the 4th gen when comparing craftsmanship and build quality.

A GTO is a big fat pig with no room for rear tires.

I am not buying an f-body at all. I said IF I ever get back in one. Chances are I'd get the '68 I've always wanted.

I haven't even driven a GTO yet. Just my current interest. Either way the TA is for sale.

Feel better how? They are the same chassis and rattle far worse than 4th gens.

I prefer them as a vehicle. I never felt right in the 4th gen. It felt good, but the third gen always felt better. That's what I mean.

Again, I don't even want an F-body right now. So this isn't exactly important talk to me.

Sucks to sell, but you're nuts on the 3rd gen thing - they were total POS's. I had a t-top 86 Firebird as my first car and it had horrible body flex plus all sorts of squeaks, rattles, and groans. So much body flex that you can jack up under one of the front wheels and all the other three would stay on the floor till it gets like a foot high, even the one on the same side . Not to mention it was a V6 so was slower then Paris Hilton in a spelling bee.

First gens are badass though, one of my dream cars would be a big cube procharged SBC in a '69.

Good Luck with whatever you get, but for your own sake stay far away from the GTOs, especially the 5.7s .

I want to sell my car every other day. The days in between I love it. I think that is a common pattern right?

I think its just a part of life man . Things change , People change , Interests change .
The car scene has pretty much died off and people moved on . Its hard as hell to stay
motivated and keep dumping $$$ into a car and expect the enjoyment to sustain .
Best of luck LSWHO hopefully you can find something you can enjoy

My next F-Body (I wish). Amazing inside and out. Spotted at a show in Clayton, NC this past Saturday. Best of luck finding what you want. Never give up.

I know how it is, I think about selling mine all the time but I would lose my *** on it. Its paid for and I finally decided if Im really going to be done with it Ill throw the cover over it and let it sit in the corner of the shop.

I went from racing every weekend for the last 3 years to only making it out twice this year. Just had so much going on I couldnt even think about driving the dang thing. Good luck with the sale.
