Default Before I call it a night, my car is okay with coolant still in the block?

Replacing the heater core, lost the sunlight so i'll finish tomorrow. (All i need to do is connect the two hoses, refill and put it all back ) Just drained it from the rad plug, not the block so I should be fine for the night? temps are going to dip down below 30 tonight. As long as there isn't any water (there isn't) i'll be fine even if there wasn't coolant left in the block correct? Thanks.

Thought so, i guess i was more asking if any got out too. Water is the only real harm to the engine in freezing temps right?

water, apple juice, beer, anything that freezes, dont let in your engine if it is going to be exposed to -32.

It's the amount of time it's exposed that causes the freezing. Not to mention with it not being full it has room to expand and it's antifreeze. You should be ok for now.
