Default Fuel gauge question

Just a small question about the fuel gauge. Iv noticed before i got my fuel pump replace my fuel gauge would stay pined to full for about 70miles then quickly drop after words to like 3/4. Then with accelerating and breaking it would bounce alot. Now it seems more accurate with the new pump it. Drops alittle bit with breaking and goin down normally. My question is do they have a mob to change it from a bobble i guess it has to something like newer cars have that isnt effected by breaking and accelerating? Not an issue just a thought i had.

The sending unit on our fuel pumps are crap. When the gauge reads 3/4 I know the tank is 1/3 full.

It's the shape of the tank that causes the gauge skew. It's bigger at the top than at the bottom. Bobbing can occur on any tank during accel or decel, but the non-linear reading of full to empty is "normal" for the 4th gen.
