Chandler has done me DAMN well so far. I have no reason not to buy another one when mine dies. For $90 you cant beat it.

Remember though, the opti is only as good as the person installing it.

GM is the best bet. But if you order before 12am tonight Summit has their units marked 100 bucks off.

^ not entirely. How you take if off and put itback on plays a role. Someone else knows more I'm sure but one trick is using red locite on the screws of the opti so they don't back out causing premature failure.

GM unit replacement here, origanal opti went 145k...then i replaced the whole thing. Paid 325.00 for it brand new has gone 40k so far. There is no reason not to trust the reliability of the stock unit with these kind of miles on it...peice of mind is worth every penny. Don't try and short cut this kind of technology trust me it's worth it!!!!!

Never had an opti failure. Most guys only need a cap and rotor but buy into all the ignorant opti hate and replace the whole thing with something cheap and crappy.

It is a distributor, nobody would bitch about an HEI if they "only" got 100K out of a cap and rotor but they do with an opti.

On this motor i have a chandler. I have about 5oo miles on it and the motor and 4 passes at the strip spinning 6500. Like someone said earlier. The opti is only as good as the installer. I see the chandler lasting and he had it to my work place on 2 days
