He came by a few hrs ago, and now he goes to start it but nothing.. It's cranks but doesn't start.. It's a 97 z28.. Everything's stock under the hood..

Did you check for spark and fuel pressure? Any way of checking for trouble codes?

see if the plugs are wet with fuel. Your gonna have to test fuel pressure and spark.

Okay so when I test the fuel pressure what is it suppose to read?

It should be about 44lbs. It should hold pressure with after you turn the key off also. If it bleeds down fast there is a regulator or pump problem.

^^^ Check the spark and fuel. If its cranking strong and not starting 1 of the 2 are not happening man. Check her out and get back to us!

Okay so we replaced the ignition coil and wire that leads to the distributer and still nothing.. I took 1 end off the distributer an stuck a flat head inside of the boot to see if I seen a spark but still nothing.. We havent checked the fuel pressure yet but Now that I kno it's 44lbs we can get the tool an check it today..

@Bad Azz97 If I pull the plugs and if there wet or smell like fuel then what?

Were there any symptoms before the no start? If it's not fuel pump related it could be the rotor screws on the opti have come out. If at all possible, scan the PCM for codes.
