That depends. How new/abused is the engine? I would like to see it on a dyno or at least a dyno sheet as well. Who built the engine?

i havent put it on a dyno. engine was built locally by a drag race guru. i'd have to find the build sheet to say whats done to it. 388 stroker with MSD. ive run it down the track round about a dozen times. put around a 100 city miles on fresh engine & tranny. was thinking about selling it cuz i hardly ever drive it. car is in fair shape few hail dings clear coat peeling in places. been lowered. i got it in a trade torn apart from someone who had the motor and tranny built then gave up on it. i put it all together and it just sits in my driveway. im just looking for a going price range so i dont over price it and make myself look like an idiot. ive got a tuner cat program and pair of slicks. i dont know alot about these Lt1 cars, lol and i dont know how to use the tuner cat program either. i do know its fast, but i couldnt get a consistent time when i took it to the track, was cold out and nobody was hookin up.

Well just remember that most people looking for a 4th gen fbody want one with the lsx engine in it so I'd say $6000 - $6500, depending on the condition of the rest of the car. Also you'll be better off taking the car and get a chassis dyno tune and have that along with receipts and build sheets and you'll stand a better chance of getting your price, good luck with the sale.

It's a tough market right now. It's totally in the buyers favor. Your best bet would be a trade + cash for something else that you have in mind. If you ask $6500 or so, that is LS1 territory. Most people will overlook an LT1 when they can get an LS1 for the same price.

Thats a shame because the LT1 cars are the better looking of the two. I would say a nice built/high HP LT1 should sell for $7500 so long as it is in near mint condition, nice paint, interior, wheels/tires and the engine all sorted out. If it has any issues (appearance or powertrain) the price will be much lower.

Id say about $4-4500 depending on how clean the car looks, $6k max if its in great condition, low mileage and a 6 speed.

Truthfully you'd be better off just parting it out if you're looking to make a profit. Unfortunately that's probably going to be the route I'm going to take with my car.
