The turbo itself is Chinese crap. Certainly an instance of "you-get-what-you-pay-for." Not to mention it isn't even designed for an LT1, so you'd have a ton of custom fabrication to do.

Not a good investment whatsoever.

First things first, if you want a cheaper turbo system then you might want to look into the ebay sts style kit. Comes with the t60 turbo, after you get the car running and tuned im sure you WILL want a bigger better spooling turbo and then it will be worth the 700car or so for the turbo since your already have the turbo kit installed. The cheap turbos have had good and bad reviews, I have seen a few making good power and numbers and not have any issue. What you need to understand when looking at the ebay kits is that there just a starter kit and need a few tweaks to get to work good. A better oil pump with a cooling system of some type, a better oil pump, as for the piping and hoses ect they will work just fine. But I always use t clamps vs worm gear and a good quality wastegate is a must if you don't want things to blow up. Also a good boost gauge t monitor boost and a wide band AF meter should be used.

I would stay away from the kit you listed and maybe go with the sts knock off or a realquick front mount.

That kit is a steaming heap of feces. Get the muffler turbo kit if you want the cheapest turbo kit that may actually have a chance of fitting. Get somebody to make you a front mount if you want it done right.

that is true but for some people they can not afford the 8k-10k sts kit or the 5k front mount. the sts knock off kit should work just fine if the oil pump is replaced and a better WG is used. **** if he bught a crx intercooler and pipe it would be able to run 5-7psi. he would be better off with some AFR or LE heads and cam package.

Dont waste your money. For around 600ish you can get a Bw s475 which is capable of supporting 1000 hp plus! If you have the time and resources a custom kit is a much better option.
