Is It To Late
I Have A 96 Camaro With 142,000 miles On It And I Was Wondering If It Was Too Late To Throw A Cam In It With That Mileage? I Have Intake,Headers,3000 Stall,3.42s

Uh I don't think you can fairly base a motor's health on its mileage. I have a 116k LT1 that makes great compression and burns all the plugs perfectly (so A:F ratio & spark are perfect). On the other hand I have a 5.7 vortec with 96k that has a cylinder bleeding down and a LT1 with around 85k that has oil all over the plugs.
I will put money on it that my 116K mile Z28 runs more efficiently than a lot of the stock assembly cars on here that have less mileage.
I'd check my compression and learn to read my plugs before I threw a cam in a higher mileage motor but don't be discouraged. Compression and plugs tell a lot about a motor.

Do a compression test. Check A/F if you have the means. My 120,000 mile LT1 is running perfectly. You can always judge by mileage. If your car runs good, cam the **** out of it if you feel like.
