Default LT1 vs V6 fuel tank.

Are the two tanks exactly the same or do they have small differences?
I have a gaping wound in my tank and have the opportunity to score an already pulled V6 tank for cheap.
Pics of both tanks would be a huge plus.

Pretty sure there is a possibility that they are different. If I remember correctly when you make a fuel pump access panel on a v6 the panel has to be moved an inch or two in one direction. I suppose that doesn't mean that it wouldn't work, but that leads me to believe that they are different/would look different if they were side by side.

93-97 tanks are the very same part number. There is no differentiation listed between V6 and V8 .

So do I. I actually ran a v6 pump one day at the track. Pump died morning of race day, had one laying around, threw it in quick and off to the track. At the time I was running mid 12's, the v6 pump still kept me in the mid 12's...true story.

Yep - should be the same. Maybe you can even talk down the price since it's from a v6

It's a junkyard tank. Someone cut out the entire side of a 96 car, looks like a cutaway illustration. Tank is just sitting there.
