Default Battery Tender Question

I have a battery tender jr. that I bought for the camaro. It comes with a harness with ring terminals on it so that you can leave it attacched instead of using the alligator clips on the battery terminals. The problem is the rings are to small to fit over the battery cable bolt. The question is, can I attach the positive ring to the red box on the passenger fenderwell that the positive battery cable goes to? It seems ok to me, I just want to be sure. Thanks

You could do that. A lot of times those ring terminals such as the Battery tender jr I use on my motorcycle are intended for smaller terminal batteries like bikes and snowmobiles. I would just use the clips. Less PITA.

Can you just replace the ring terminal for the correct size? Ive always used the aligator clip on mine, for both the bike and car

Also can be done with a few handtools.

I use the ring terminals on the bike and just leave that pigtail tucked under the seat in the summer. JUst figured it would be easy on the car that way too. If those terminal blocks are safe to use, I will just do that. Thanks for the info

Hooking to the red junction box near the battery will be fine. Mine has been there for years.
