pic of oil dipstick tube
Does anyone have a good pic of the dipstick tube attached to the block?
I thunk I found my last oil leak. The dipstick tube is not attached in any way to the block. I tried pulling it out a bit and saw that it has holes where I belive a bracket should go. So I am looking for a pic on how it attaches to see if the previous owner removed something else...

The bolt hole is kind of hard to find, but it should be down under cylinders 6 and 8, easier to spot if you have headers. Stock manifolds and a y pipe its not easy to spot. With the dipstick in you should be able to move it around and watch the path the bracket takes to find the bolt hole. think its a 10mm head bolt, not sure thread or pitch.

Thanks! ya found the bolt, thankfully it was still on the block. The bracket broke from the oil tube. I was able to clamp then together and install an oring at the end of the tube near the lip..temp fix until new tube arrives.. hopefully that was my main leak (oil was everywhere ). I did replace the rear main when I did the clutch last weekend, hopefully that is all good and not leaking.
If this holds its on to the timing cover seal leak...
