will non center bolt valve covers(side bolt) work on a LT1, and also Gen 1 small block chevy valve covers?

Thanks

No, there is nothing to bolt them down with.

At 1 time there were adapters available, but I haven't seen them in a while.

Also on an F-body application the alternator will hit the pass side valve cover is if its not specifically made to fit this application.

Saw these guys a couple years ago:

http://ansenusa.com/product/sbc-center-bolt-adapter/

I settled for Cantons instead. Only thing I don't like about Cantons is the bulky size. I have a hard time squeezing my hands past them to get to the plugs/wires on the pass. side. Like Lonnie's said, unless you do an alt. relocate you'll have to alter the cover (notch and weld) yourself. Quik95lt1 notched one from a standard center bolt pair a couple years ago, has them on a spare engine. They (it) turned out nice

I took regular center bolt valve covers I liked and had them cut and notched to fit my lt1. Only cost about 30 bucks for the notch plus the valve covers. Turned out great.

Im not sure if it would work or not but you might could take and drill and tap holes in the heads so that your able to bolt regular valve covers on.

I've got some polished tall covers that will fit but need to be clearanced for the alternator. They've got flames engraved in them. Not sure if that's your style, but they're taking space in my garage lol.

I love the look of the Canton fab covers. Terminator-like haha.
