Default Ls1 vs lt1 exhaust

Im going to be replacing my tsp rumbler with a stock z28 muffler just wondering if there is a difference between stock ls1 and lt1 exhaust. Flow or sound wise. If not I'm just going to hunt for the cleanest one at the junk yard.

If you're replacing the entire cat back, the rear hanger on the driver side is different - just make sure to unbolt it with the exhaust and it'll bolt right up to yours

Does this mean that our lt1 cars can use the KOOKS true dual setup that i read about? Tucked up real nice an neat.

I would call them and ask - the headers exit in different spots so they may have a different system for LT1s or some type of adapter

I can't believe how hard it is to find a decent stock exhaust.. I sawed off the pipe that goes up and over the axel from a 2000 camaro but the muffler is all banged up. Gona try and find a stock muffler again tomorrow

the bigger question is why are you looking for a stock exhaust?

I just did the same thing. Went from flowmaster 40s, to stock 1999 catback and an e-cutout. Best money ever spent.

But back to your question, the hanger on drivers side is different, and i have heard that the muffler is 22% bigger, making it quieter. I'm not sure if the second fact is true but it bolted and welded up fine, and with the cutout closed its pretty quiet even with longtubes, and a cat delete.

My current set up is a high flow cat, cut out, then tsp rumbler. That leaves me with two options, loud or louder. I want to have quiet or loud.
