AC Delco will always be the most reliable choice. The MSD offers absolutely no benefit over the ACD.

You can get the Delco for way less than that, even at Jegs and Summit.

IMHO, I'd stay away from the Chandler. Do some research.

I had problems with the ac delco arcing through the cap... an msd cap/rotor solved that issue.

I've only ever had two optis on my car. Both had rotor screw problems. The second one now is suspected of breaking up at high rpm even after loc-tite as applied to the screws. I am going to replace the cap/rotor and check the old one to see if there is any play with the plastic rivets. If there is the new one will receive the "rivet mod."

Looking into this as well.

Haven't heard stories of MSD units crapping out so I may pay the extra coin for one.

And the 1 year warranty.

Edit: I stand corrected. MSD units crap out too.

I bought an opti from Advanced Auto about 3 months ago. Now I understand that's not a long time but I give my car ABSOLUTE HELL. I drag race every Saturday night, multiple passes. I drive like an ******* most of the time. The car never sees under 90 on the highway. And my opti is just fine. Plus it has a lifetime warranty. Not saying its a great opti or better than ac because its only been a few months. But the fact that its held up to my abuse impresses me. I break a lot of ****. Haha. But if you aren't strapped for cash like I was, by all means go ac delco.

My replacement at 145k was AC Delco...if my first one went that long then i will pay the money to have the second go that long as well. That was about 42k ago, still strong my .02 AC Delco all the way with any replacement part!!!
