LT1 to LS1 Lid, what do I need?
I am doing a front clip swap on my 96 Camaro and I am getting a LS1 lid and the part that holds the radiator. What do I need to adapt the intake to the MAF and to the lid?
I shouldn't have to cut anything right?
Also, I am in the process of putting the LT1 in from doing a 3.8 swap. I don't know where I put the stock maf. I have a stock 98 LS1 maf. Will the 98 maf work?

On the MAF, Id prolly stick with the LT1 MAF for the LT1 motor to be safe. Look at the part number on the one you have for the 3.8l, research and compare to the LT1 MAF. Might be the same but not sure. I have a few LT1 MAF's sitting around that I dont use, speed density, I could send you for a price.

There should be no cutting involved, but you never know. Use a rubber plumbing connector or turbo pipe connectors for maf to TB, or you could try a stock LS1 accordion bellow and see.
The maf should slip into the lid, but another connector there wouldn't hurt.

Quick question, are you doing the front end conversion just so you can convert to the LS1 lid? I did the LT1 to LS1 lid conversion on my '96, not sure if it was worth it but looks alot better. Do a search, tons of threads on the LS1 lid conversion.

Also I'm not doing the front clip swap for that reason. I like the 98+ front clip best and that is the only reason for the swap. I have already sold the old front clip. I already have all the brackets. I just need the lights, bumper, and fenders.

Here is a link to my project: https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...ro-3-8-m5.html
edit: I think I found your album, but did you do a LS1 lid swap? In the pics you have the lt1 setup.

No crap. I wouldn't have asked the question if I could have found it. I found several people doing the mod, but most were more about the cutting of the radiator support or hood clearance. For some reason I couldn't find any info on the pipe. Luckily I just found it: 3″ to 3″ Fernco coupler, available at Lowes.
