Can someone please school me on the Vats system When i got the car my brother in law lost the door key, i just called to get a price quote for a key and since it has the VATS system its gonna cost me 375.00. Can someone help me out here

Here's what you need. Just get a plain key cut and wire in the proper resistor after you test and find out what value yours needs.

The door key shouldnt have a chip in it, and has nothing to do with the Vats. The door key should have a round end, and the ignition key should have a square end with a small black chip in the part that goes into the ignition
