Default unusual vibration

i seafoamed the car yesterday. drove it around until the smoke stopped. ran just fine. it sat all night and when i drove off, it developed a pretty bad vibration at around 4k. doesnt matter if the clutch is pushed in or not, the shifter still vibrates. i dont really see how this could be related but just thought it ask. anyone head of this?

SOUnds like you've got a misfire. check your plugs. then injectors.

i've never liked seafoam. i've seen it create more problems than it solved.

You seafoamed the 396 LT4???

No way in hell would I seafoam a high compression motor.
I sincerely hope you find a simple fix like you left the vacuum line off.

I would start thinking about a plug change/compression check though, I would be worried about damaging something with appropriate built motor NA compression and introducing liquid to the chamber.

well when i had the heads off to be ported, the pistons had alot of build up on them. i was gonna clean them off but a buddy had me paranoid about carbon getting caught between a ring and the wall so i left it alone

it was added slowly. barely brought the idle down at all since it was idling high from the massive vacuum leak

There is no problem with cleaning pistons even with a wire brush. If you are afraid of debris then use a shop vac around the pistons once done.
