V6 to LT1 swap...no spark or fuel.
I've searched now I'm desperate......
96 v6 body.....swapped 96 lt1 with pcm,harness ect all from same car.
Car turns over but has no injector pluse or spark!
My mech. Tried to link to ecu but got nothing....like ecu ain't even getting power
Would car still start with everything swapped except V6 dash harness? Is there away mod V6 dash harness......or is there something else going on????
Suggestions please

Did you use a conversion chart somewhere or info to match up necessary circuits from the V6 underhood body harness to the LT1 engine wire harness? It is doubtful that it is plug and play.

I usually do all my work.....but I'm a turbo imort guy and I got a good deal on labor......so I actually did no work on this car......after two shops couldn't figure it out I just got it towed back to my house today! One shop said no signal from injectors, no spark...but turns over fine and has fuel pressure, and he couldn't link to pcm, but linked to air bag ecu ect. Imma look into things myself tomorrow.....just need some tips....n u guys are helping so keep it coming..........thanks

Check the Fuel Enable Wire..it's a blue wire that comes from the Theft Deterrant Module and goes to the PCM. That one wire will not let the Injectors Pulse. PCM RED PIN 25, should run in the C230 PIN E (Blue Connector under Glove box).
If you didnt change anything in the Interior the Module should still work with your Key.
No PCM Link is cause the Serial Data Wire on Pin 2 on the Data Link Connector is not going to the proper wire on the Engine Hanress..from the sound of it anyways. This will be PCM BLUE Connector PIN 7, needs to be going through the C220 or C230 Connector(one of these, purple wire), and to Pin 2 on the DLC. On the Car it will be inplace, so look for it.

I'm gonna look into all of that thanks......I guess my main question is can the car run with an unmodified v6 dash harness
Edit:I read from some swap site that the v6 dash harness should work...cuz lt1 n harness is from 96 donor and my car is 96

my best bet would be to buy the manual with the electrical diagrams, or pull them off the internet and tediously go one wire by wire to make sure they all have power if they are supposed to. i would also check the ignition control module( the little guy next to the coil) and see if that has power and signal. also my best advice is go buy yourself a nice fluke test meter. just makes life easier

When I swapped a 93 engine into my 94 V6 chassis the ALDL connector wiring had to be corrected for the 93 diagram. It's been over 10 years but I want to say there was a wire missing that I had to add from the LT1 ECM

Yea really not worth throwing a carb on it. When we did the lt1 swap we just put a switch on the fuel pump relay to override it. The VATS module we had already overridden so I can't help you on your spark issue. Some of the pins are different from 3800 to LT1s though. Personally I would try bypassing the fuel pump relay first and then trying to start it. Maybe that will help you.
Edit: Didn't see that you were getting fuel, but if you do have it then you should look at bypassing VATS.
