Have you looked behind the bumper to see if anything else was damaged?

From this pic looks like the only thing that took damage was the bumper its self, I'd just find one the same color for well under 500 and call it a day.

Does the rear panel (behind tailights and rear bumber) appear under stress or buckled?

Looks up prices on stuff if its less than your deductible, buy it (assuming you can put a bumper on)

If its more, go through a body shop.

IMO...

You can get a brand new OEM bumper for $349 from GMpartsdirect. Thats what I did when I messed up my car. And the shock absorbing piece is $150 too. Then take it and have it painted, you should come out around $800 all said and done and it will look good

Since you have a rare color I doubt you will just find a clean ready to go bumper!!!!!!!
If it was my car I would remove the cover and look at the structure, look under the car in the well area replace the reinforcement, tailpipe hanger, search the for sale section for a bumper cover have it painted then purchase new retaining push pins and call it a day..... sucks to see this happen especially knowing some sorry deuchbag is getting away with not taking responsibility for this mishap..... Lastly, I am glad you did not get injured in the process.
