Default AC delete questions!!

Don't know if this is right place. Sorry if it isnt

I deleted my ac minus the box on firewall already. And I'm getting ready to install LT headers and change my power steering pump. How do I remove the box with motor in car. And can I keep the heater with the delete plate?

There is tons of threads on this. I even made one myself. The search feature will answer more questions than you have on the topic.

Thanks. I did search but a bunch of crap came out like removing compressor. And stuff lol

Try using google like this. type what you want google to look for followed by the word site:ls1tech.com (run it all together with no spaces from the word site) This will work to use google for searching any selected web site.

ac delete site:ls1tech.com

I did an AC Delete and retained my heater. I had to custom make a delete plate that would allow the blower some room to actually work. I can post pics if you want, but I won't lie....it is a BIT**

Takes about 20 minutes and produces lots of smiles if you just use a BFH and some angry music

Ha yes it does, but I was too nervous about hurting my heater core.

Ill take a look at your pics. I already have a umi delete plate.

The plates that you buy are designed to bolt in from the inside, removing all components of the heater and a/c duct work.

Yeah, that UMI Plate will make you get rid of your heater....here are some of mine.

Your plate is top notch, good work! I just made one with a jigsaw and a piece of aluminum.

You wouldn't happen to have a copy of that CAD file you would want to share would you?

I don't, but I could probably call the shop and get it. It was done by a shop in Greeley Colorado...I gave them the template on the sheetmetal that I did up, they cut it out for me with their waterjet machine. I can call them and get whatever info from them. I thought about making these and welling them haha. It didnt take THAT much to do honestly. Just a lot of trial and error lol.

If you could get ahold of a file that would be awesome! I would paypal some cash your way to keep me from having to go through the trouble of drawing it up. When my motor comes out again in the next year I definitely want to make a really nice panel to fit in there.

I've had the plate laying around for a while. And figured I would have to do some modding. But if you could get a way to have your plate made. I would pay for it!. I have very very little time to get anything done on my car now days with a 3 month old in the house. Plus work. The last couple days I've had enough time to yank the altinator that's it. Slow moving around here
